© R. Kelly appeared in a Chicago court Friday (December 16) to once again try to get the child-pornography charges against him dismissed. His attorneys argued that the prosecutors' phrasing that the singer "knew or should have known" that the girl was underage was contradictory, vague and unconstitutional. "TRUTH or Dare?" Madonna's got nothing on the cast and crew of "Rescue Me," the New York-set F/X channel firefighter dramedy starring Denis Leary.
Late last Tuesday night, following the show's Christmas party at the SoHo Grand Hotel, a band of merrymakers led by Leary swarmed the downstairs bar of Ono at the Hotel Gansevoort and immediately decided to play Truth or Dare with shots of vodka as truth serum. But the actors — including Leary, hunky co-firefighter Daniel Sunjata and fetching fire vixen Callie Thorne — preferred "dare" and instantly turned the game into a flagrant exhibitionism session.
MARIAH Carey likes it in London, and the folks in Aspen are happy for her. Last week, sales people in a "high-end sporting-goods shop" in Aspen were overheard talking about how sweet Renée Zellweger was compared to Carey. "She's always with a huge entourage . . . She demands the store be shut down for her," they were griping. At that point, our source reports, "an older gentleman purchasing an orange ski jacket unexpectedly chimed with, 'Yeah . . . that girl will really make your head spin!' " One staffer did a double take and recognized the man as Carey's ex, Tommy Mottola.

WATCH out, Jessica Simpson — we hear your estranged soon to be ex-hubby, Nick Lachey, may be trying to sell his side of the story to your former friends at OK! magazine for a whopping $300,000. Spies say Lachey's pal A.J. DiScala — who got dumped by his client/wife, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, after she reportedly caught him cheating — has approached the mag on behalf of the pop singer. Another venture that Lachey and DiScala are said to be in on together is as investors in the skeevy new club Pacha where scantily clad women writhe in a shower. This has lead some to speculate that DiScala is co-managing Lachey along with his brother Drew. Our spy added: "[Lachey] wants to keep it quiet. But it's genius — it's like Donald Trump owning a modeling agency!" A rep for the club said: "We don't disclose our investors." Shawn Sachs, who is acting as a rep for Lachey said, "Drew Lachey — Nick's manager — has not spoken to OK! magazine about any interview deal. Any report to the contrary is false. A.J. is Nick's good friend. And Nick is not involved in Pacha." DiScala also denies any involvement with Lachey. We shall see.
AS if Kate Moss needed another reason not to re-unite with junkie rocker Pete Doherty — consider that the British bad boy's HIV-infected former drug dealer is urging Doherty to get an AIDS test. "I had no idea I had the disease when we were doing drugs — I want him to know this was not intentional. We didn't share needles but we kept our needles in the same glass. I'm worried blood on the needles may have mixed."
