Feminism/Post Feminism on Film: Is the Women's Movement Still Necessary?

Join Us for This Very Special (and FREE) Film Screening and Panel Discussion

CineWomen NY will host a film program and panel discussion at the Donnell Media Center of the New York Public Library for Women's History Month entitled Feminism/Post-Feminism on Film: Is the Women's Movement Still Necessary?
Our confirmed panelists are Therese Shechter, director of I Was a Teenage Feminist, and Joyce Chopra, director of Smooth Talk and many other films. Liz Foley, filmmaker, film professor and CineWomen NY board member will moderate. We will screen three or four short films including Chopra and Weill's feminist classic Joyce at 34.
This event is free and open to the public. The Donnell Media Center of the New York Public Library is located on 53rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues across from MOMA
Seats are on a first come, first serve basis. Please RSVP to rsvp@cinewomenny.org so we can keep track of how many people will be attending.
