© Jackson family to get real?
Pop star Michael Jackson was a no-show at the family's Christmas Eve gathering, but cameras captured the fest as the musical clan stockpiled footage for the reality TV show they've been shopping around Hollywood. So far, no network has announced plans to buy the series, but project frontman Jermaine Jackson has told family and friends he's landed a $7 million deal for a 13-episode reality series, a source close to the family told the Daily News yesterday. Music exec Cory Rooney, who has produced hit records for Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child and Marc Anthony, is said to be producing the unscripted series.
The most shocking footage banked so far, and a key selling point for the potential series, shows Michael Jackson riding to the Santa Maria, Calif., courthouse with family members on his way to hear the verdict in his child molestation trial last June. "Michael is rocking back and forth pretty fast with a Bible open in his lap. He's saying: 'They tried to do this to Job, now they are trying to do it to me. Why me?'" the source said. "His family members keep reassuring him: 'It's gonna be okay. We know they're just trying to get your money and the catalogue (Sony/Beatles music rights). We understand...'"

Look for a crime rise in Lackawanna County, Pa. Even law-abiding men may find reasons to get frisked now that Mira Sorvino has been made a deputy sheriff. The fetching Oscar winner was sworn in yesterday at the county sheriff's office in Scranton. The 38-year-old actress marched in wearing knee-high boots, though they looked much sexier on her than on motorcycle cops. And rather than carrying a firearm, she was packing her 1-year-old daughter, Mattea. Just as Elvis received a federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs badge from President Richard Nixon in 1970, Sorvino can look forward to getting her shield shortly. http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/378404p-321280c.html

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's romance remains on course. The country-and-Western Kiwi met the Oscar-winner's children, Isabella, 13, and Connor, 10, on Dec. 20 over dinner at L.A.'s Hotel Bel-Air, reports Star magazine. Kidman, who spent Thanksgiving with Urban in Nashville, flew back to the music town for Christmas with his kin

A police sting yesterday bagged two men — including a convicted murderer — who tried to extort $1 million from megawatt couple Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez in exchange for their stolen wedding video, The Post has learned. Tito Moses, 31, a murderous ex-con from Newark, and Steven Wortman, 40, a retired postal employee from Sayreville, N.J.,, allegedly thought they would be making a big score with Anthony's legal advisers after several weeks of negotiations. But they were stunned when undercover cops from the Major Case Squad grabbed them at 12:35 p.m. at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Grand Street. "They were shocked because they thought they were coming for their payday — and instead, they got the surprise of their lives," said Inspector Michael Hines, the unit's commanding officer. The wedding pictures were on Anthony's laptop computer, which was stolen with his 2005 Cadillac while he was shooting a music video in Linden, N.J., last Oct. 30. http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/60449.htm

A former gay porn director who was the executive producer of Michael Jackson's "What More Can I Give" benefit concert in 2001 may find himself being investigated by the California attorney general in 2006. Fred Marc Schaffel, a one-time smut sultan and pal of Jackson, is under the heavy scrutiny of Hollywood private investigator Paul Barresi. Just last week, Barresi sent a letter to California AG Bill Lockyer, urging him to delve into alleged shady fund-raising by Schaffel. Barresi claims he has information that Schaffel never registered or provided financial reports to the attorney general's office - a fiduciary requirement - for donations made to Jackson's D.C.-staged benefit for the families of 9/11 victims. The concert - which featured performers including James Brown, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake and Destiny's Child - reportedly raised $2 million for relief charities. But an accompanying "What More Can I Give" single - which Jackson boasted would raise $50 million for the charities - and an album of the same title that Schaffel was supposedly producing and had raised money for, were never released. http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix/pagesix_u.htm

SYLVESTER Stallone's Sly magazine beat back a trademark lawsuit by a foot-fetish publication yesterday - but Stallone's mag itself went down for the count. A Manhattan federal judge handling the brawl over rights to the title "Sly" stepped into Stallone's corner to knock out a bid by the fetish book, also named Sly, to yank Stallone's publication off the stands. But it was a hollow victory for the mush-mouthed "Rocky" star. Stallone's lawyer said the current issue of his buzz-challenged Sly will be its last. American Media launched Sly in February, targeting men "who believe that life begins at 40." The title produced only four issues.

SEAN Lennon is determined to kick off the New Year with a new girlfriend - and he's asking PAGE SIX to help him find one. "Any girl who is interested must simply be born female and between the ages of 18 and 45," John Lennon's singer/songwriter son, 30, told us. "They must have an IQ above 130 and they must be honest. They must not have any clinical, psychological disorders . . . and a kind heart. Clearly beautiful - but beauty on the inside is more important - but no deformities, third legs, fifth nipples . . . I'm completely alone and I'm completely miserable. So please send your request to [PAGE SIX]." Ladies, we await your responses.

BRAD Pitt just might be the latest celebrity caught with his pants down. Pitt's lawyer, John Lavely, has sent around a letter saying that pictures of the star were taken while he was on the balcony of his Los Angeles home. The letter threatened legal action against anyone who publishes the shots. We can only imagine what Pitt was wearing - or not wearing - to warrant legal action. Earlier this year, Pitt's ex Jennifer Aniston, Jude Law and Kate Moss were all snapped out of their clothes by pesky paparazzi. Meanwhile, Pitt's rumored wedding to Angelina Jolie may be sooner rather than later. According to Us Weekly, they've bought each other rings - and Pitt was recently seen checking out Cartier engagement bands.

Keith Urban’s ex-girlfriend has a warning for Nicole Kidman: he can’t commit. Kidman is rumored to be engaged to Urban, but a woman who says she dated the former cocaine addict for years and was also engaged to him warns “The Stepford Wives” star that she believes Urban can’t truly commit to any woman. “Nicole and Keith might date for a while — but it won’t last very long,” Laura Sigler told the UK paper The Sun. “I don’t know her but I know him very well.” She continued: “There were a lot of lows with the drugs. I don’t have any dark past — he was probably the darkest part, but I’m on my own now and I’m happy about that.” http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9916573/

© Patrick Swayze Working With Rap
After years of being indirectly involved with Hip-Hop music, actor/pop singer Patrick Swayze is finally experimenting with rap music. Swayze recently said he was experimenting with “rap rhythms as an emotional undercurrent for ballads.” Swayze’s last name has been used as Hip-Hop slang since the early 1990’s, when EPMD popularized the term on various albums. In U.S. rap vernacular, the term "Swayze" means to “leave” or “disappear,” cleverly derived from the title of his 1990 hit film “Ghost.” Swayze, who has a role in the new flick “Keeping Mum,” did not peg a release date on his new material. http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=5193
