NABFEME accomplishes its mission through activities that foster empowerment, education, mentoring, career development and networking.
According to Dr. Butler, "NABFEME is one of the few networking organizations that instill a sense of pride in yourself, your work and your professional relationships. I have been an active member since the organizations inception, and have been amazed at the level of contacts I am exposed to on a daily basis. Women that you didnt think yourself worthy to be in the same room with, sincerely and openly share their experiences and their strategies for success in the music and entertainment industry. The City of Memphis is fertile ground for the networking opportunities that only NABFEME can offer.

NABFEME is led by volunteer entertainment executives and Memphis joins as number 17 amongst other major cities across the USA who host affiliate NABFEME networks. The NABFEME Memphis Network will hold its "official" kick off reception Thursday, March 9, 2006, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the Center for Southern Folklore at 119 S. Main Street, Memphis, TN.
